It all started with a lack of local car shows in the local area and a need for showing off each other’s cars, which led to a group of 5 friends deciding to start the Hull Motor Show and help some local charities whilst they did it.

It is now its 10th year and still going strong, and still run by a group of friends who work full time and have families, with a lot of passion and dedication.

From it’s simple beginnings, the Hull Motor Show is believed to be the largest 1 day motor show in the UK with hundreds of vehicles being shown to a huge and enthusiastic crowd. The event attracts everyone from petrol heads to families looking for a fun and interesting day out and has always maintains the basic principals of the group that founded the show – if its got a motor, it’s welcome.

It’s not about how big your wallet is with the vehicles on show, it’s about enthusiasm and imagination from individuals and clubs alike, and wanting something individual rather than ‘off the shelf’ at the main dealer.

The show attracts exhibitors and visitors from across the region and continues not only to provide a fantastic day out, but raises money for some well deserving charities at the same time.  Since starting, the Hull Motor Show has raised over £30,000 for charities which is an amazing achievement.

There is a huge amount of hard work that goes into the organisation of the show and everything associated with it to make it run smoothly on the day from some great people.  This is also helped by the commitment of sponsors, so please show your support to them and the trade stands on the day.
